How to Measure Your Head for the Perfect Wig Fit

Getting the perfect fit starts with knowing your measurements. At Crown Her Ego, we make custom glue-less closure wigs that fit like they were made just for you, because they are.

Before ordering your unit, take a few minutes to measure your head accurately. Remember, A great fit = a laid look with no shifting or slipping. We want comfort with our looks!

✨ The 3 Most Important Measurements for Closure Wigs:

Circumference

Wrap your tape around your hairline from your forehead, behind your ears, and around the nape. This is the #1 key to a snug, glueless fit.

Front to Nape

Start from the center of your forehead (hairline) to the middle of your nape.

Ear to Ear (Over Top)

Measure from the top of one ear, over the crown of your head, to the top of the other ear.

📏 IMPORTANT:

Use a soft measuring tape only, measure on clean, FLAT hair, and write down your numbers in inches. Use the chart below for sizing based on your measurements (#1, #2, and #6 are KEY).

Most of our beauties wear Medium, but ALWAYS measure to be sure.

✨ U-Part Wigs:

When ordering a U-Part wig, we recommend sizing down one cap size for a flatter and more secure fit, especially in the back. U-Part wigs naturally allow leave-out, so downsizing helps reduce excess bulk and improves the overall blend and comfort of your install. This sizing adjustment has been a more favorable fit for many of our bold beauties!

💡 Example:
If you normally wear a Medium, consider selecting a Small for your U-Part unit.
Incorrect measurements can result in a wig that doesn't fit properly. We are not responsible for inaccurate sizing, so take your time and measure twice!
